Alexa Bliss returned at the Royal Rumble, making her first appearance in two years. At the time, she seemed poised to have an immediate impact on the Road to WrestleMania. That hasn't been the case, and she has been missing from the buildup to the big show recently and could miss it entirely. So, where does Alexa Bliss fit in WWE right now? Without WrestleMania prospects, she could be gone for another two months, negating the already diminishing momentum from her surprise return. There are more than a few ways to fit Alexa into the fold, and some could even happen in time for WrestleMania weekend.

Ms. Bliss meets up with the Wyatt Sicks.

The most straightforward answer for where Alexa Bliss fits is precisely where she left off. Before her two-year absence, she was last involved with the late great Bray Wyatt. Although Bray has passed, his brother Bo Dallas has returned in his Uncle Howdy persona, and a Wyatt-inspired faction, the Wyatt Sicks, is presumably taking up his mantle. They, too, have been missing for quite some time, so with Alexa back in the fold, she could work with or against the faction she started.

Alexa and Nikki Cross, also members of the Sicks, have worked together before and could revitalize the women's tag team division with their new personas but veteran chemistry. If the Wyatts are looking to continue their avenger persona, her confrontation with a victorious Bianca Belair and Naomi at WrestleMania could set up a factional feud with the women's title on the line. That calls back to their previous rivalries as well. An important note: unlike several members of the group, she has a direct and extensive connection with Bray on screen.

Why beat a queen when you can beat a goddess?

If Alexa is not destined for a Wyatt reunion just yet, she may become a more prominent player on Smackdown after WrestleMania. Despite her current status as the underdog babyface, Tiffany Stratton is not a natural hero. Charlotte's feud with Stratton is giving her new layers, and a victory over Flair will make her return as a heel all the more compelling. To press her momentum further, Alexa could be the perfect returning face to bring more credibility to Tiffany's reign and make her return to the dark side easier.

Stratton has many of the same heelish tendencies that the original Alexa had upon debuting on the main roster. The same logic that made fans insist on Charlotte vs. Tiffany could easily apply to the champion and Alexa. Bliss bringing back her more "Harly Quinn" aesthetic and mannerisms to try and out-bully the newcomer out of her own game would make for an interesting twist, given it's been a while since Alexa used those muscles. It would also constitute mind games, though, which Bliss' Fiend character was often eager to play, keeping continuity.

Alexa Saves the Intercontinental Championship

Lyra Valkyria is a phenomenal athlete, and almost nobody cares about her reign as the first-ever Women's Intercontinental Champion. A lot has been made about whether a veteran like Natalya should have won the strap first. Both perspectives had merits at the time, but with hindsight, it is clear that WWE needed more than a talented wrestler to make that division matter. A veteran and former world champion could be what the division needs for a little while, and it could be how you make Alexa Bliss fit.

Chelsea Green has the entertainment market cornered, so going with a straight comedy champion would diminish both belts. Having a champion with some credibility taking on allcomers, like a John Cena Open Challenge or, to some extent, Gunther's reign in the men's mid-card, has real appeal. Alexa can sell the matches pretty well, even without any help from a green NXT call-up. With so many established stars breaking bad this year, having the original heel of the women's revolution come back on the side of light to be a conquering hero and champion will feel refreshing as we watch our childhood icon deliver a low blow in 4k.

Where does Alexa Bliss fit best overall?

In truth, any of these places could work for Bliss before or after WrestleMania. The real question is, who needs her the most? That's also a tough call; all three could benefit significantly from her involvement in a story with them, and all three have slim prospects elsewhere. The Wyatt Sicks option is the best fit overall. Bray was the center of that extended universe, and despite the hype and the legitimately passionate promos at the start, their absence has sucked out the excitement for the faction. Some of that will return when they come back, but a significant portion of it is very likely because Bo Dallas is an untested commodity as the head of a major faction. Alexa Bliss joining the fold will give them the closest star power they can find to what they had planned to have before tragedy arrived. As Alexa returns to the ring, she should do so by following the fireflies.
