WWE Fastlane Predictions: Seth Rollins, Big Show and Kane vs. Dolph Ziggler, Ryback and Erick Rowan

facebooktwitterreddit

This Sunday, at WWE Fastlane, Seth Rollins, Big Show and Kane are going to team up in six-man action against Dolph Ziggler, Ryback and Erick Rowan.

This feud started when Ziggler, Ryback and Rowan joined Team Cena in the build to WWE Survivor Series, along with Show. During the match, Show would turn on them and join The Authority, but Ziggler was the Lone Survivor, with a little help from Sting, in an effort that ousted The Authority from power.

A little over a month later, Rollins used the bad neck of WWE Hall of Famer Edge as leverage to make John Cena bring back The Authority. The Authority went on to fire Ziggler, Ryback and Rowan, but Cena got their jobs back in a match against Rollins, Show and Kane, with a little help from Sting.

Since they came back, The Authority have looked to make their lives as difficult as possible, but now they’ll get a chance to get some revenge against The Authority’s golden boy and their two top henchmen.

Which team will come out on top? Rob Wolkenbrod, Jordan Campbell, Callum Wiggins, and Mike Smith have some predictions:

More from Daily DDT

Rob’s Take: This match was made shortly following SmackDown, which pits three former members of Team Cena against The Authority’s top guys.

While it was put together last second, these six-man tag matches never seem to go wrong. WWE hasn’t done one of these in awhile either, so that may help too.

This is a tough one to predict which team will go over. You would think that the babyfaces would succeed in defying The Authority, but WWE feels a need to protect Kane and Big Show.

In the end, I do think that the babyfaces win this one with the return of Randy Orton, who has been out for nearly four months! WWE will finally decide to bring back The Viper to set up a WrestleMania match with Seth Rollins.

Rob’s Prediction: Dolph Ziggler, Ryback and Erick Rowan

Jordan’s Take: We have to see the return of Randy Orton during this match, right?

Wrong.

For whatever reason, WWE has continually pushed back the television return of Randy Orton. Orton is expected to begin a program with Seth Rollins for WrestleMania but his return would need to happen on either Sunday or Monday.

Considering Rollins is now teaming with Kane and Big Show against Dolph Ziggler, Erick Rowan, and Ryback on Sunday–it seems highly unlikely that we will see the return of Randy Orton at Fast Lane. Unless there is a segment between Rollins and Daily Show host Jon Stewart where Orton makes the save.

But, back to this match.

Rollins’ in-ring ability will make this match bearable. Rollins will get the win for his team in this match.

Jordan’s Prediction: Seth Rollins, Big Show and Kane

Callum’s Take: Thrown onto the card at the last minute in order to get six big names on the card, it will be interesting to see how long this match is given. I’m surprised it has taken this long to make this contest official, considering how much these groups have interacted on television recently. If Ziggler and Rollins carry the brunt of the action, it should prove a solid addition, but the presence of Rowan, Kane and Show might drop the quality somewhat.

This could go either way, as it has all the hallmarks of a match that will be redone on Raw the night after with the opposite result taking place. As such, I can see this given a feel good ending by letting Ziggler, Ryback and Rowan have this victory.

Callum’s Prediction: Dolph Ziggler, Ryback and Erick Rowan

Mike’s Take: This is one of the matches that I’m really looking forward to, despite my lack of interest in Show and Kane, because it is so tough to call.

Neither team is all that hurt by a loss, since Kane and Rowan are the guys who are going to take the fall for their side. So, it all depends on WWE’s plans for WrestleMania.

There’s two ways this could go: 1) Randy Orton returns, setting up Orton-Rollins at WrestleMania. 2) Ziggler’s team wins clean, setting up Rollins-Ziggler at WrestleMania.

I’ll go with the latter.

Mike’s Prediction: Dolph Ziggler, Ryback and Erick Rowan
