Brock Lesnar and Goldberg met face-to-face on WWE Raw, leading to one big move to close the segment.
Brock Lesnar vs. Goldberg has been confirmed for WrestleMania 33 for nearly one month. Nothing else had been set until Monday night, when Chris Jericho challenged Kevin Owens to a United States Championship match.
At Fastlane, Goldberg officially upped the ante on his Lesnar match at WrestleMania by defeating Kevin Owens for the Universal Championship. It pushed their feud to a second level, adding a the title as a stipulation after the standard one-on-one match at Survivor Series 2016.
Well, on Raw, these two met face-to-face around the 9:00 p.m. ET hour. Lesnar and Paul Heyman met Goldberg in the ring, with the Advocate hyping up their encounter which will take place in less than one month. After Heyman said the former WCW star will become Lesnar’s “b—h” at the Show of Shows, the Beast Incarnate picked up the champion and F-5’d him.
It marked the first time Goldberg looked vulnerable since he returned to WWE in October 2016. He had gotten the best of Lesnar every time they met, until Monday night, which left him down and out.

It’s unknown if this bout will main event WrestleMania 33, as WWE keeps hyping the WWE Championship match as the official headliner. Things always change in Vince McMahon’s wrestling world, so it’s possible he hasn’t made up his mind on which title will close the show.
