After the major announcement last week by Dixie Carter that the TNA Hard Justice PPV will now be called Hardcore Justice and that it will be booked by Tommy Dreamer how would the weeks leading up to the show go down, and how would the TNA roster respond to the situation?  Find out what went down right here:

The ECW Originals are in the ring (Tommy Dreamer, Mick Foley, Raven, Stevie Richards, Brother Devon & Rhino)  Dreamer takes the mic and hypes the crowd about Hardcore Justice.  He informs the fans that because of some legal stuff, they’re going to call themselves EV2.0.  Dreamer welcomes Devon to the group and asks him what’s up with Brother Ray.

• Devon still really doesn’t know, so he calls his brother out to the ring.  Ray comes to the ramp.  Devon says, “We’ve had our differences, but this (ECW Originals) is our family… Are you in or are you out?”  (Ray starts walking away)
• Dreamer takes the mic back and tries to be the voice of reason actually using a KISS reunion concert as an analogy for their return at Hardcore Justice.
• Mick Foley takes the mic and says, “With or without you, we’re going to have one hardcore show, but it’ll be a little bit better with your participation… If you don’t, you’re going to regret it later.  (Ray looks conflicted)
• Taz then stands up at the desk and tells Ray, “Just do it man!”
• Ray gets into the ring and takes the mic.  He goes face to face with Devon and asks, “Are we going to light someone on fire? (With a big grin!)”  Devon nods.  “Then hell, sounds like a lot of fun!  I’m in!”  They embrace.
• Interrupted by Hulk Hogan who’s excited to see these guys all together again.  During the 90s he didn’t get to see the hardcore revolution because he was running around with a black beard, ruling his world.  Tells them that he and Eric Bischoff have a surprise for them later tonight.
• Interrupted by “The Monster” Abyss who says that “THEY are not happy about this… This reunion wasn’t supposed to happen and they hold one person responsible, you, Dixie Carter!”
• Hulk stands up for Dixie and suggests that Abyss takes the time to find a shrink.
• Abyss says that he’s got orders from THEM to take Tommy Dreamer out tonight.  Hulk’s not willing to let that happen, but Dreamer steps up and says that if Dixie and Hulk will allow him, he’ll do it for the fans!

For this week’s edition of Throwback Thursday, I thought I’d bring out a character that crossed over from the basketball world into the pro wrestling arena and really didn’t have to create a character because he was one all on his own.  I’m talking about “Rodzilla” aka Dennis Rodman.

Now most people who watched the NBA in the 1980-90s know Dennis Rodman was basketball’s bad boy.  He had a temper that flared often, and he had such a colorful personality that it was frequently shown via his hair.  Eventually he was recruited by Hulk Hogan to come over to the always colorful world of professional wrestling where Rodman wouldn’t have to change one bit in order to fit right in, and because he was friends with “The Hulkster,” he was aligned with the NWO.

Two matches that I remember that Rodman participated in while he was in WCW (late 1990s):

1. Rodman/Hogan vs. Lex Luger & The Giant
   
2. Rodman/Hogan vs. Diamond Dallas Page & Karl Malone
   

In both matches Rodman is basically just there for show.  He didn’t really do too much, but whatever.  Going back and watching through these again just really makes wonder why wrestling companies ever let people in the ring who aren’t wrestlers…

More recently, Dennis Rodman got back into the ring, and once again, it was Hulk Hogan who got him there, but it wasn’t for a major company.  In late 2008, Rodman joined the cast of Hulk Hogan’s Celebrity Championship Wrestling on CMT (Country Music Television).  He, along with nine other pseudo celebrities, were trained by Brian Knobs & Brutus Beefcake on a regular basis, and occassionally Hulk or another guest like Goldberg or Rob Van Dam would show up to help the contestants learn the ropes of the business.  Rodman would go on to win the only season of the show.

Ultimately, I don’t think he’ll be back in the wrestling game unless he happens to come back as a WWE RAW guest host.  I don’t foresee TNA bringing him in again.  He DID have a one time stint, but he was basically a dick during that appearance, refused to do much, and crooked them out of money.

As we get closer to SummerSlam, and The Nexus continues to run crazy on RAW, John Cena has formed a team to combat the threat of the youngsters.  Would the RAW superstars start to gain an upper hand with the PPV showdown only a few weeks away?  Find out all the RAW results here:

John Cena to the ring.  He talks about the initial Nexus attack seven weeks ago, and all that has led up to last Monday.  He says that the RAW superstars finally stood together, and at SummerSlam, they will end Nexus!  Cena doesn’t want them to gain any more power because with power comes influence.  He says that his team will come together, friend/foe alike.

• Interrupted by Chris Jericho who’s upset at Cena because he doesn’t like the idea of it being “Cena’s team.”  Jericho joined up because he’s got his own problems with the Nexus and specifically his former NXT Rookie, Wade Barrett.  He feels that he should be the captain and it should be his team.  (Cena doesn’t care about it either way)
• Jericho starts ranting and Cena knocks the microphone out of his hand.  Cena says, “It ain’t about you or me, it’s about this damn business… You love this business!  That’s why we’re doing this.  We HAVE to coexist!  Chris Jericho, you are essential to this team!”

After Money in the Bank last weekend, we have a new World Champion, but it’s not who you may think… Money in the Bank was cashed in, and someone from off the radar is the king of the Smackdown mountain.  Who is it?  Read on and find out:

The new World Champion Kane comes to the ring.  He remembers a story from his childhood of torturing his goldfish.  Says that he felt like that goldfish until Sunday when he won Money in the Bank and then cashed it in to become the World Heavyweight Champion.  He tells the crowd about what happened on Sunday and how he actually won the title from Rey Mysterio after helping him from a post match attack by Jack Swagger.  He hopes that Rey understands what he did because he knows that anyone else would do the same thing.  Kane claims that he didn’t just win this one for himself, but for his brother, The Undertaker.  Kane still vows to bring vengeance on the person who attacked his brother.

TNA Impact is back, and in last night’s episode, we got an answer as to why TNA President Dixie Carter brought back the ECW originals into TNA, and that she’s got a big announcement to make when it comes to them.  What was it?  Read on to find out:
