Yesterday in Liverpool, England, the SmackDown television tapings took place.
This edition of SmackDown will feature a one-night return of Chris Jericho, who was asked by WWE to come on their European tour. While he will not be wrestling on TV, he will be appearing in an edition of The Highlight Reel. We’ll also see Bray Wyatt, Ryback, Kane, and other stars all in action!
Let’s check out the spoilers, courtesy of Wrestling Inc.
"Chris Jericho kicks off SmackDown to a big pop. He comes out for The Highlight Reel. Stephanie McMahon and Triple H are out next as his guests and are met with “where’s our Network?” chants. This was said to be a great segment."
"Vince McMahon comes out and says Liverpool sounds like a skin disease. He tells us to get live. This was a dark segment it looked like."
"Bray Wyatt squashed Sin Cara and got the win with Sister Abigail. Wyatt cut a promo after the match and out comes Dean Ambrose. Bray leaves the ring before Ambrose can get to him and laughs from the stage."
"Goldust and Stardust defeated Adam Rose and The Bunny."
"Ryback vs. Kane is announced for later."
"Dolph Ziggler defeated Tyson Kidd and Cesaro in an Elimination Match to retain the Intercontinental Title. Kidd eliminated Cesaro first. This was said to be an unbelievable match."
"Natalya defeated Layla with a Sharpshooter."
"Kane vs. Ryback is next. Team Authority is at ringside watching. Ryback won by DQ when Kane hit him with a steel chair. Ryback was brought in the ring for a beatdown but got the upperhand and hit Shellshocked on Kane to end the show."
This could end up being a fun episode of SmackDown. While some of the star power was missing, the Intercontinental Championship match should be a fantastic watch. Seeing Tyson Kidd getting a title shot is nice to see, too. It looks like he’s continuing to make an impression on WWE management and should continue to be a steady part of shows.

With Adam Rose and The Bunny picking up another loss, tension will likely be building between the two again. It wouldn’t be a surprise to see them face each other at Survivor Series. If Rose loses to The Bunny, it will say a lot about his standing in the company.
While Ryback is still not confirmed for Team Cena, this just adds fuel to the fire that he’ll join the team. We’ll likely see that happen next Monday on Raw.
Seeing the Big Guy getting this kind of spotlight is refreshing. WWE is giving it another go with him to see what he can do as an upper-level babyface. Feed me more!
Overall, this episode of SmackDown looks to be a decent two-hour show. Do you think it will be a good one?
