This match was fun and full of spots. Dean Ambrose’s unstable gimmick was put over well (Maybe a bit too much), but he played his role. Also, while Bray Wyatt took a beating through the match, it was kind of obvious that he was going to come out on top with how this played out.
This really shouldn’t have been the main event, though. I understand that the PPV is “TLC” so it would be appropriate to have a TLC match as the main event, but with WWE having Roman Reigns, the company’s future star, to interfere in a match that has a #1 contender stipulation behind it, it leaves me confused as to why this closed the show.
Having a lot of spots in a match is fun too, but there was just way too much. Wanting this to be focused more on these two kicking the daylights out of each other in fine, but more wrestling should have been incorporated into the match. If that was the case, this would have been a much better match.
However, this was arguably the best match of the night.
Mike’s Take
This match was weak. It was way too spot-heavy to be the main event, but it did have a few good sequences.
The finish was awful. The TV explosion was just a terrible idea.
The whole match made Wyatt look bad.
