WWE WrestleMania 31 Rumors: Huge Change Made to Brock Lesnar vs. Roman Reigns

WrestleMania 31’s main event might have just got a lot more interesting.

More from Brock Lesnar

On February 22 at the WWE Fast Lane pay-per-view, Roman Reigns is scheduled to face Daniel Bryan in a number one contender’s match for the right to face Brock Lesnar at WrestleMania 31 for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship.

All along, it has been thought that Reigns would win the match and move onto The Beast Incarnate. As we saw last year though, plans can change. Take a look at this report from F4WOnline, via Wrestling Inc.

"We noted two weeks ago that WWE pontifical would not be putting Daniel Bryan into the WWE World Heavyweight Title Match at WrestleMania 31 with Roman Reigns and Brock Lesnar because Vince McMahon didn’t want to go that route again after doing the same thing last year. Vince reportedly held a meeting this past week and changed his mind.According to The Wrestling Observer, the new idea for the WrestleMania 31 main event is Bryan vs. Reigns vs. Lesnar for the title.Plans could always change between now and the Fastlane pay-per-view on February 22nd but the current idea is to do a Triple Threat at WrestleMania 31 after Vince made the decision, apparently due to the crowd reactions."

It looks Vince McMahon has had his hand forced once again by the crowd.

The crowd reaction that Reigns received at the Royal Rumble was almost as negative as it can get. Fans knew that he was going to win, so they turned on him from the second his theme music went off.

With Bryan, Vince’s plan backfired as well. Having him eliminated so early in the match only fueled the Reigns hate that lasted for the rest of the night.

Now the question will be how does the Fast Lane main event end? If this is the plan, then there’s going to be some type of odd finish. Maybe a double count-out?

One of Reigns or Bryan may turn heel as well. With Lesnar’s character tipping the scales towards being a babyface, it would be hard to imagine that all three are going to walk into this match as good guys. Maybe WWE gives into the boos, turns Reigns heel, and see what happens from there.

The last domino in this is Dolph Ziggler. Obviously, if Bryan is going to main event WrestleMania 31, then they won’t be having their match together. This may show that this newly formed tag team with Ryback may be sticking around long-term.

So, we are now looking at Brock Lesnar vs. Roman Reigns vs. Daniel Bryan for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship. What do you think?
