Sami Zayn (c) vs. Kevin Owens – NXT Championship

This is going to be the icing on the cake of what is going to be a terrific night of wrestling.

Sami Zayn vs. Kevin Owens dates back to Ring of Honor when they were known as El Generico and Kevin Steen, respectively. Their rivalry was regarded as one of the best ever for the promotion. Now they face off again, only this time it’s in WWE NXT.

This rivalry began when Owens spoiled Zayn’s NXT Championship celebration at the end of NXT TakeOver: R Evolution. Prior to this, Owens said that Zayn was his best friend, but he didn’t want to see his friend get his moment because he wants it.

Over the past month, Zayn has been calling out Owens because he wants to get his hands on him. It led to him challenging for a match against his former friend, which NXT GM William Regal granted. Eventually, it became an NXT Championship contest.

This match is going to be phenomenal. It’s likely going to be one of the best of the year when it’s all said and done at the end of 2015. If you don’t think so, I advise you to check out their work together on YouTube.

This match is a really tough call. Owens is a top talent and Zayn only won the title two months ago. You also have to factor in that a number one contender will be lingering around too.

In the end, I see Zayn retaining the title. This feud is far from over, however. Add in the predicted number one contender in Finn Balor and a potential triple-threat match at the next NXT TakeOver will be a ton of fun to watch.

Prediction: Sami Zayn retains the NXT Championship.
