Vince Russo Takes “Hiatus” from Pyro and Ballyhoo
“Vince Russo quits himself” – the headline that is taking over wrestling social media.
Update
Our Twitter account received a message from Lucha Underground Co-Executive Producer Chris DeJoseph that confirmed Vince Russo will not be with the company.
Simple and to the point.

Original Post
In a very bizarre turn of events, Vince Russo has taken a “hiatus” from his website pyroandballyhoo.com. Russo often did interviews with past and present wrestling stars, booked Monday Night Raw weekly and had a popular podcast on there.
Here is what we wrote on his Facebook page for the announcement:
"TO ALL VISITORS OF PYROANDBALLYHOO.COM,As of today I am no longer associated with the website, or brand,pyroandballyhoo.com in any way, shape, or form. I will not be posting anything—blogs, videos, podcasts, from this point going forward. I am no way any longer associated with the site. Please know, that if you renew your monthly membership, you will not be getting any content from Vince Russo from this day going forward. I also ask you to not buy any Vince Russo merchandise, as I no longer have access to the orders."
"I will keep you all updated of my future endeavors here on my Facebook page.As always I have been and still am very thankful for all your support.I’ll keep you posted.Peace,Vince"
The news of Russo leaving his website shocked many people since this came out of nowhere with no type of build-up. There was apparently a post made about it on the site, however, it was subsequently deleted.
One question that can be raised is whether this was Russo’s website all along? He treated it like it was and no one would have assumed otherwise.
The second question is whether the former WWE writer will be heading to a wrestling promotion full-time. Russo was recently at the Lucha Underground taping, but confirmed that it was for interviews for the site. It should be noted that Russo denied Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter’s claim that he was in talks to join the promotion.
The third option here is the chance that Russo working with IPW: UK full-time will cause him to lose the time he had for pyroandballyhoo.com. He is scheduled to wrestle for the promotion on March 15 in a six-man tag match.
Something is obviously missing from this situation that we may never find out. Hopefully we get an update on this soon.
