AJ makes FCW History

WWE.com

AJ Lee was signed by the WWE in 2009 and was assigned to their development territory.  At the time that territory was Florida Championship Wrestling.  In FCW, there were two different titles available to the women wrestlers. First there was the Queen of Divas title and then FCW added the Divas World Championship.

She won the Queen of the Divas title in February 2010 over Serena Mancini (later known as Serena of the WWE faction Straight Edge Society).

Soon after winning the Queen’s title – FCW started a tournament to crown a Diva’s champion.  AJ would win her first round match against Tamina (Snuka) but would fall to her former rival Serena.  Future Funkadactyls member Naomi went on to win the tournament and being crowned the first ever FCW Diva Champion.

AJ and Naomi would go on to have a number of matches after AJ and Serena would jump Naomi – thus turning AJ heel.  The three would have a triple threat match and Naomi would retain the title.

The following weeks AJ and Namoi would have other matches including a lumber jack match.  They would also have a match that was a title for title which neither one with the match ending in a double count out.

After their feud, AJ would get involved into a min-story with Rosa Mendes where AJ would drop the Queen’s title to Mendes.  With that loss it would now free up AJ to make FCW history as she was going after the Divas title.

It wouldn’t take long for that to happen – actually at the following FCW television tapping.  AJ would go back at her old rival Naomi for the championship and this time she would take the title home.  With that win she would become the first women’s wrestler in FCW to hold both the Queen of Divas and the Divas World title.
