WWE SmackDown Review: Bray Wyatt vs. Dean Ambrose
By Evan Gomes
Bray Wyatt vs Dean Ambrose
Result: Ambrose def. Wyatt by pinfall (Dirty Deeds)
Rating: 2.9 stars out of 5 stars
Ambrose and Wyatt start out for our main event. Eventually Wyatt is on the outside and Ambrose hit’s a suicide dive to the outside. Ambrose goes for a dive but Wyatt avoids him and Ambrose runs into the steel steps as we go to break.
Coming back from break Wyatt is in control. Both men hit hard offence and Ambrose ends up in control. He hits his signature chops and jabs combination and ties up Wyatt in the ropes for a dropkick. Ambrose goes for a suicide dive but is caught into Sister Abigail. He gets out of it, and ends up hitting a slingshot clothesline on Wyatt.
After some more offence Ambrose goes for a dropkick and J+J Security comes out to set up a repeat of RAW. Ambrose is wise to it and avoids Sister Abigail. Rollins comes out to interfere, but Reigns’ music hits while Rollins is still on the ramp to even the odds. J+J attack Reigns and he lays them out with Superman Punches. Wyatt is draped over the second rope and while the ref is distracted by Ambrose, Reigns hits Bray with a Superman Punch. Wyatt then stumbles into Dirty Deeds from Ambrose and Dean gets the pin.
Overall, the high and low points of this week’s balanced each other out. The tag match was fun, and the main event was as well. However, there were two pointless matches that didn’t need to be on the show. What did you think of Smackdown? Leave thoughts in the comments below.
