WWE Undisputed Championship Match
The Undertaker (c) vs. Kurt Angle

Result: Match ends in a draw. However, The Undertaker retained the WWE Undisputed Championship.

Rating: 2.8 out of 5 stars

  • Angle got frustrated fast, getting easily knocked down by Undertaker. After he went for another move, the former Olympic gold medalist escaped from the ring.
  • After taking down Undertaker a few times, the Dead Man kicked him out of the ring, literally.
  • Angle chased him down but got clobbered with a clothesline and a few Irish whips.
  • ‘Taker would finally get taken down by a German suplex and another suplex by Angle. This would hurt the former WWF Champion.
  • Angle began using hard right hands on Undertaker, who worked his way back with some of his own.
  • Undertaker would set up Angle for the Tombstone but it was reversed into an Ankle Lock. ‘Taker then got hit with the Angle Slam, to which he put his foot on the rope at the two-count.
  • Angle went back for the Ankle Lock on the same injured left ankle. ‘Taker would counter and hit a huge choke slam. He couldn’t capitalize on a pinfall, though.
  • As Undertaker picked him up for the Last Ride, Angle countered with a choke around the neck and an arm bar.
  • With Angle’s shoulders down, the referee pinned. However, Undertaker was also tapping out. This confused everyone.
  • We came back from commercial to see three referees arguing over who won. The match was determined a draw, so Undertaker retained the title. This infuriated Angle, who locked in the Ankle Lock on Undertaker.
