10. Look To Future As Well As Past

Some of the best elements of the recent WWE video games, especially 2K14 and 2K15, is their showcases exploring the very best feuds and moments from the company’s past. These are often exceptionally well done and crafted with fine detail, capturing the essence of what made these rivalries and matches such a crucial part of WWE’s history. However, whilst the Stone Cold Mode that is being touted will likely add to this lineage of history-driven gameplay, the future would also be an interesting perspective to take, especially within the environment of NXT.

This is obviously a focus point for MyCareer mode, as that concentrates on taking your own superstar (or hopefully diva) through the present and future of WWE. Yet, WWE 2K16 could also set in place a fixed story mode honing in on a few on NXT’s biggest stars, telling constructed tales of their rise to the main roster, the obstacles they face and ending with winning a championship at WrestleMania. I would certainly be excited by performing as Kevin Owens, Sami Zayn, Finn Balor, Tyler Breeze or Charlotte, and see what the writers and developers could craft in terms of a angle getting them to the top of the mountain in WWE.
