WWE Raw Review: John Cena vs. Cesaro, Brock Lesnar Returns
WWE.com
Final Thoughts
This episode of Raw was a two part show, as everything after Paul Heyman’s promo and up to ten o’clock was bad but after that, the show excelled.
Brock Lesnar destroying J&J’s car was expected but a fun moment. Seeing him bash it in and attack the clumsy security entertained the fans and woke them up from a weak 75 minutes or so.
Then there was the main event of John Cena vs. Cesaro, which can be added to the Match of the Year conversation. These two always put on epic performances but this may have been the best. Having them close out Raw was a refreshing and badly needed change from the usual script of a standard tag match or dragged out promo. Well done, WWE.
This show wasn’t without flaws, though. The Intercontinental Championship feud had weak build, Roman Reigns vs. Sheamus wasn’t anything thrilling (the ending was fine) and R-Truth vs. King Barrett. None of this was awful but they all fell flat.
