Bayley Wins the NXT Women’s Championship
NXT TakeOver: Brooklyn was finally the night that Bayley won the NXT Women’s title, and it was one of the best matches of the whole weekend in New York.
After seeing her fellow Four Horsewomen make the step up to main roster as part of the Divas Revolution, it was kind of sad to not see Bayley alongside them. However, at TakeOver, she finally became the pinnacle of NXT.
Booking Sasha Banks vs Bayley as the co-main event was a masterstroke. NXT is the place where the women’s division is seen as equal to the men. The women have main-evented many episodes of NXT TV and they stole the show at the biggest NXT event to date.
Seeing her opponent, Sasha, as well as fellow Four Horsewomen Becky Lynch and Charlotte, embrace in the ring after the match was something you never thought possible.
It was an emotional night for Bayley, even for the crowd but one that shows how big the talent pool is in NXT.
It was one of the best matches in the entire WWE in the last year, let alone in NXT. It just goes to prove that if the women are given the opportunity they’ll steal the show.
