Erick Rowan Should Join Roman Reigns, Dean Ambrose to Fight Wyatt Family
By Teddy Couch
Roman Reigns and Dean Ambrose need help after The Wyatt Family added Braun Strowman to its side. Here’s where Erick Rowan should step in.
Though it is obvious that Roman Reigns and Dean Ambrose need help after the debut of The Wyatt Family’s new member Braun Strowman, the choice of who should help is not so clear.
Strowman made his first appearance on WWE television on Raw during a rematch between Reigns and Ambrose vs. Bray Wyatt and Luke Harper from SummerSlam the night before.

Just when it looked like Reigns and Ambrose were going to pick up their second win over Wyatt and Harper two days, the lights went out.
When the lights came back on, a 6-8, 400 pound monster stood tall outside the ropes.
Strowman is not your ordinary big guy. He made Reigns, who is billed at 6-3 and 265 pounds, look small. He had no problem dismantling Ambrose that night, or in his first match on the Aug. 31 Raw, either.
Strowman defeated Ambrose via disqualification after Reigns interfered. More of Strowman’s strength was put on display as The Black Sheep put away Reigns and Ambrose with ease.
With Strowman being as big as he is, it takes away some choices that a lot of the fans would like to see. A returning Daniel Bryan or Randy Orton does Reigns and Ambrose no favors.
The third guy in the group with Reigns and Ambrose has to be a large individual. With there not being any big guys currently storyline free at the moment, the choice is obvious: Erick Rowan.
The last time we saw Rowan was in late June, when he was teaming up with Harper. They seemed to be reforming their tag team alliance, but not much momentum was able to take place after Rowan was injured.
According to PWInsider, word was going around that he could be out for six months with a torn bicep. Granted, it has only been three months since the injury, but the details of Rowan’s injury have been kept quiet. That could open the door to a Rowan return, and he would be the perfect guy to help Reigns and Ambrose.
Though it would be odd to see a former member of The Wyatt Family join sides with two former Shield members, here is why it makes sense.
Rowan could come back to help Reigns and Ambrose just because of how Wyatt did not look for help from Rowan, rather he brought in The Black Sheep.

Another reason is the size of Rowan. The 6-8, 315 pounder would be of good help to Reigns and Ambrose. Though he is 85 pounds lighter than Strowman, he stands tall to him size-wise better than most.
The Wyatt Family is receiving a big push, and quite frankly, they do not need to a loss right now. That would derail all of their momentum.
The addition of Daniel Bryan or another big name from the main roster or NXT would not benefit from losing a match against the reformed stable.
Rowan would still be fine with a loss. He does not need to return and win his first match back. He could ride out the feud with Ambrose and Reigns for a while, until the good guys get the win.
In the long run, it would be beneficial for Rowan to get the big win with Reigns and Ambrose so he could move on with some momentum on his side afterwards.
