WWE Superstars Review: Results, Analysis, and Grades for Oct. 16

Jack Swagger vs. Adam Rose
Results: Jack Swagger defeats Adam Rose via submission.
Rating: 2.5 out 5 stars
The match stars in a shoulder and elbow tie up, with Swagger gaining the edge with a headlock to Adam Rose.
Swagger releases the headlock, and hits Adam Rose with three clotheslines into a body slam for the near fall.
Rose then follows that with a knee to Swagger’s midsection, then hits Swagger with two diving splashes for the near fall.
Rose then goes for clothesline, but Swagger counters into a clothesline of his own.
Swagger continues that onslaught with two running knees into a Swagger bomb for the near fall.
Following the near fall, Swagger went to lock Rose for the Patriot Lock, but Rose hit Swagger with a quick to the face. Rose then connected a dazed Swagger with a super kick to the knee followed by a neck breaker.
Rose followed the neck breaker with a diving head butt for the near fall.
Following the near fall, Rose mocked Swagger and put Swagger in the Patriot Lock, but Swagger countered Rose into a Patriot Lock as Swagger got the tap out victory.
The main event of the night was Fandango vs. Stardust
Results: Stardust defeats Fandango via pinfall.
Rating: 3 out of 5 stars
The match starts in a collar and elbow tie up into the corner, with Stardust gaining the advantage.
Stardust put Fandango into a headlock, followed by a clothesline off the ropes.
Fandango countered the following clothesline and hit Stardust with a dropkick.
Stardust followed that up with back-to-back knees to the midsection and head until Fandango rolled him up for the near fall.
Following the near fall, Fandango hit Stardust with a flying head scissors. Stardust then followed up with a kick to the head of Fandango, and ran Fandango’s shoulder into the ring post as Superstars went to break.
Coming of the break, Stardust continued to work on the injured shoulder of Fandango, but Fandango countered with a shoulder toss.
Stardust connected Fandango with a DDT, working on the injured left shoulder of Fandango for the near fall.
Stardust continued to put stress on the injured left shoulder of Fandango, but Fandango would break the hold, countering with open hand chops to the midsection of Stardust.
Fandango continued the onslaught with a barrage of chops to the chest followed by back-to-back hip tosses.
Fandango followed up the hip tosses with a deadly mix of open-handed chops and clotheslines, which weakened Stardust for the near fall.
After the near fall, Stardust went to charge after Fandango, landing in the ring post, and Fandango countered with a leg drop for the near fall.
After Fandango countered out of a Queen’s crossbow, Stardust hit Fandango with a spring-board leg kick, stunning him, and hit Fandango with the Queen’s crossbow for the pinfall victory.
