NXT Tag Team Championship Match
Dash & Dawson (c) vs. The VaudeVillains

Result: Dash & Dawson win via pinfall (Shatter Machine).

Rating: 2.9 out of 5 stars

Scott Dawson starts off against Simon Gotch. The VaudeVillains begin to control Dawson, and once Dash tags in English grounds him with an armbar. Dawson catches English with an armbreaker as we go to break.

Back from the commercial and Wilder is in control of English’s arm. Dawson gets tossed to the outside, and both men in the ring make hot tags. Gotch comes in and hits a sunset flip for a two count. Gotch gets distracted for two seconds by Dash and gets demolished by a clothesline. The VaudeVillains go for the Whirling Dervish, but the champions escape. A blind tag is made, Dash and Dawson hit their tag team finisher The Shatter Machine and get the pinfall to retain their titles.

After the match, Enzo and Big Cass are back. They absolutely decimate Dash and Dawson, with Cass clotheslining Dawson to the outside.

Evan’s Note: No surprise that Dash and Dawson get to continue holding the titles. There are a lot of hot face teams to face them, between the VaudeVillains getting another crack down the line, Enzo & Big Cass, and of course Jordan and Gable. It looks like Enzo and Big Cass will be first in line though for NXT TakeOver: London. Good continuous storytelling since it was Dash and Dawson that knocked Cass out of action.

Eva Marie Interview

Tom Phillips interviews Eva Marie, who has taken over William Regal’s office to prepare for her championship match. Eva says she is the hottest prospect, literally, in a long time. Eva says she is looking forward to her first match against Bayley for the title. She says she’s happy she ahs the support of the WWE Universe and the support of her new friend Nia Jax. Eva gets a gift from Jax to end the interview.
