Who are this week’s movers and shakers in the Daily DDT WWE Power Rankings?

Night and day. That was the difference between this week’s WWE programming and last week’s: night and day.

Heading into TLC, it was easy to assume that fans were going to witness the culmination of sloppy booking in the form of a creative train wreck, which would leave a bitter taste in the mouths of every fan in the WWE Universe. Well, there was the equivalent of a train wreck—several really—but it occurred in the ring at the hands of Roman Reigns… And that was a good thing for a change.

Furthermore, people not named Roman Reigns also managed to thrive this week. Can you imagine that? The list is plenty long: the Lucha Dragons, the Usos, Dean Ambrose, Charlotte, and many more managed to stand out in ways that actually developed their characters.

So how did it all change? Over the last few days there has been an evident balance reached between allotting creative leeway to talent across the card while only directing storylines when the time was right. Like it should be, the WWE relied on its Superstars to build their own momentum and then followed up by giving the proper guys and gals the proper amount of time to shine.

Given how hot and cold the WWE has been this year, it’s too early to say that they have fully righted the ship, but for now they’ve taken a positive next step toward accomplishing that task.

And with that, let’s get into this week’s WWE Power Rankings.

Note: Daily DDT WWE Power Rankings take into account everything from WWE programming from the past week: Storylines, match quality, championships, and wins and losses are all in play. Performances tracked are based off Raw, SmackDown, Main Event and other weekly specials, excluding NXT. To be included on this list, a Superstar must be listed on the current WWE.com Superstars roster.
