NXT Women’s Championship
Bayley (c) vs. Nia Jax

Bayley continues to be the biggest fighting champion since John Cena lost his United States Championship. She’s already defended against Alexa Bliss and Eva Marie, but now faces the toughest challenge of her title reign since she defended against Sasha Banks. That challenge? Nia Jax.

Nia has been shown as a powerhouse who steamrolls all of the competition. She has not been pinned since appearing in NXT and has quickly established herself as the dominant heel in the women’s division. She tried to help Eva Marie in her title shot, but Bayley managed to persevere as seen above. Can Bayley hold on again?

Prediction: Nia Jax

While it is early on Nia’s career, things are in place to make this one of the biggest angles in NXT. The plan goes as so:

1. Nia Jax wins, with some help from Eva Marie at ringside and/or some ref bribery like in Eva’s match
2. Nia immediately drops the title to Eva Marie.
3. Eva experiences the most heat in wrestling history. Nuclear. Heat.

Bayley is a great, fighting champion. Probably the most beloved champion in NXT history (with possibly the exception of Sami Zayn). The NXT fan base loves her dearly, and seeing her get worked over for the title will make her even more beloved.

This allows Nia Jax to have a signature win before going into her next feud with Asuka, and Bayley will go after the undeserving champion in Eva Marie. People will be so invested in watching Bayley dethrone “Miss All-Red Everything” that it will make for great television.
