1) Shawn Michaels – WrestleMania 25 (2009); WrestleMania 26 (2010)

Let’s start with a match when we all thought that the Heartbreak Kid had become the favorite with his own mind games in the months leading up to their first WrestleMania bout. It was truly a match between the light and the dark with Michaels entering the stage from above and Undertaker entering from below.

The two had a back and forth classic that lasted more than half an hour, with some fans thinking that the Deadman was legitimately injured after the spot with the cameraman during Undertaker’s dive to the outside. Many of us prayed that wasn’t how the streak would end, and it didn’t as the two exchanged their finishers multiple times before Undertaker got the win after catching Michaels in midair for a Tombstone Piledriver.

In the year afterward, Michaels became obsessed with getting another shot at defeating the Undertaker; so much so that he put his career on the line. Fans would receive another classic match with questions of if they were witnessing the end of the streak of Michael’s career. For a man who always wanted to have the best match on the card, he did with someone he had known since the early years of the Attitude Era.
