WWE: Wyatt Family Being Face is a Problem
By Evan Gomes
WWE has a challenge ahead of them in booking one member of the Wyatt Family.
On the latest edition of RAW, many WWE fans saw something they had been hoping to see for a while. The Wyatt Family seemingly turned face, destroying the League of Nations after they were beating up kicked-out member Wade Barrett:
It represents a fresh new direction for the Wyatt Family. Since debuting on the main roster in July of 2013, the group has been heels. They’ve feuded with almost every upper mid-card/main event face. From John Cena to the Undertaker, Daniel Bryan to the Usos, and even that memorable battle against the Shield, the Wyatts have taken on all comers.

That’s why so many people wanted to see them turn face. Even with the desire, the decision to turn them still shocked people.
Now the Wyatts are free to feud with some heels and change their act somewhat. It’s been almost three years of the same rambling promos from Bray. The Wyatts now can focus their attention on righting some injustices. They could face the Authority, take out Brock Lesnar, and Wyatt can go toe-to-toe with top heels like Kevin Owens and Rusev.
There is one major problem facing the booking of the Wyatts: Braun Strowman.
WWE has a bad track record with booking people who look like Strowman as faces. Great Khali was a dominating monster during his initial run. After he turned face, he became known for the “Khali Kiss Cam” and went by the “Punjabi Playboy.”
It’s just a fact that WWE has a bad track record of booking monster babyfaces. That could make the booking of Strowman a very difficult task.

Strowman has been unstoppable. He barely is knocked off of his feet. Only the upper echelon of the WWE is allowed to even damage him. How is Strowman supposed to be a sympathetic character?
WWE has booked itself into a bit of a conundrum. What heels on the roster are supposed to be able to take down Strowman? The only ones who realistically have a shot are Brock Lesnar and Kevin Owens. No other heel is even close to strong enough. That’ll make the Wyatt Family a hard act to gain any sympathy for, because why should we? They have Strowman. They’ll be fine.
That leaves a few options for booking the Wyatts: make Strowman more “human” somehow, keep him heel and have him turn on the Wyatts, or accept what they usually do with monsters when they turn face and have him become a comedy character.

Mainly what I’m saying is don’t be surprised if you see a Strowman-Hornswoggle pairing in a years time or have him come out to “Somebody Call My Momma.”
