Bullet Club Should Interfere in Roman Reigns vs. AJ Styles at WWE Payback

With Bullet Club now in WWE, they should make an immediate impact.

The artists formerly (and maybe still?) known as Bullet Club finally made their long-awaited debuts this past Monday on Raw. Although they did the lord’s work by trying to keep the Usos from regaining any sort of relevance, they pretty much disappeared without a word, leaving us to wonder what exactly their place is going to be in WWE.

Many expected them to debut with a leader, presumably Finn Balor, since they had always been part of a larger group during their time in Japan. But now that they’ve debuted on their own and Balor is still going strong as NXT champion, we have to wonder if maybe the plans have changed, or at least been delayed. However, this may have been for the best, as there is a chance Luke Gallows and Karl Anderson could be primed for something very big, very soon.

As most of us know, AJ Styles was part of Bullet Club during his time in New Japan Pro Wrestling, as were Gallows and Anderson. Although Styles doesn’t necessarily need Gallows and Anderson by his side since he’s already so popular, I don’t think anyone would be upset if he were to be in a stable with two of the most highly anticipated WWE recruits in recent memory. So how would this go down? Well the seeds have already been planted for this to happen.

As noted, the first thing Gallows and Anderson did was attack the Usos. Now that can be seen as them just establishing themselves as the new dominant force in the tag team division, or it can be seen as a deliberate attack with an intended target. If they don’t show up in the coming weeks to attack more tag teams, this may have been specifically about the Usos and, more importantly, Roman Reigns.

By attacking Reigns’ family, Bullet Club could be gearing up to target Reigns himself. Although the attack on the Usos can be seen as vicious assault of a babyface team, it could easily just be preparation to go after Reigns, which will move Bullet Club back to the babyface side of things, allowing them to align with Styles.

So at Payback, Gallows and Anderson could either distract Reigns and help Styles win the championship, or more likely, they come out and beat on him after the match is over, officially establishing Bullet Club in WWE led by the Phenomenal One. And if this were to occur, it doesn’t even have to result in a Styles championship win at any point in the near future, it could just serve to establish Bullet Club by going after the top guy in the company.

And here’s the fun part: technically, this could lead to a Bullet Club vs Shield feud over the summer. Although Reigns is not well-liked, that would become less of a problem with Seth Rollins and Dean Ambrose back on his side. This would likely be a temporary reunion, resulting from Reigns being constantly beaten down by Bullet Club and asking for help. Ambrose isn’t really involved in anything relevant right now and I’m not sure if he will be anytime soon, and as for Rollins, he’s likely to return as the hottest babyface in the company, rounding out the group’s reunion perfectly. Then you have one of the best faction feuds in history with two extremely popular groups battling it out for supremacy.

Payback could mark Bullet Club’s true arrival in WWE, and if things go down this way, it would be the perfect usage of Gallows and Anderson and would shake things up in a huge way for months to come.
