Fantasy Booking Shane McMahon vs. Triple H
By Jay Sichler
With both Shane McMahon and Stephanie McMahon vying for complete power of Raw, Shane McMahon needs to battle Triple H in a winner-take-all contest.
A few weeks ago at Payback, Vince McMahon decided to give equal power to both Shane and Stephanie McMahon running RAW. After multiple weeks of Shane McMahon alone, the fans saw brand new matchups, new stars and the beginning of the New Era in WWE.
It was a bit of fresh air seeing a face character run the flagship show, and it went over well with the fans. However, after multiple weeks of being absent, Stephanie McMahon returned to RAW looking to once again gain control of the show.

The fans weren’t receptive to this, as they have chosen Shane as their leader going forward. While Vince McMahon sees the popular change his son has brought to the table, he still remains loyal to his daughter. So now we have both Stephanie and Shane running RAW.

On the surface, it seems these two siblings have been able to co-exist with one another running RAW. Stephanie has steered away from her Authority character and has adopted Shane’s friendlier attitude.
Stephanie’s recent change though doesn’t seem entirely real, though, and it seems like her true motives will reveal themselves soon enough. Stephanie has one major card in her hand that she has yet to play, which is former WWE World Heavyweight Champion, Triple H.
The Game has been absent from television since WrestleMania when he lost the championship to Roman Reigns. It seems apparent that his return to RAW will be to aid his wife in regaining control of the show from Shane McMahon.
Since returning, Shane has had no contact with Triple H on TV and even haven’t crossed paths on Raw and SmackDown since 2009. WWE has been smart to keep these two apart saving it for a huge moment.
In a few weeks, Triple H needs to return, attacking Shane McMahon to the point where we don’t see Shane for a few weeks. It will stink to see him gone for the time being, but his return will be epic.
This will lead fans to believe that Triple H and Stephanie have gotten rid of Shane for good. The Authority should then run RAW on their own for a few weeks, once again creating matchups that they feel is best for business and not what the fans want.

As for SummerSlam, Shane could make his shocking return and attack Triple H. The Prodigal Son then challenges the Cerebral Assassin to a match at SummerSlam. This bout would be winner-take-all. If McMahon wins he gets full control of both Raw and SmackDown. If Triple H wins, the Authority gains control and Shane leaves forever.
This instantly creates a marquee match for SummerSlam and a one that every fan will want to see. With a lot on the line, and to make it believable that Shane can win, the match should be contested in a Street Fight or a Last Man Standing Match. This way, Shane will have resources and weapons to help defeat the 14-time World Champion. It also can allow Shane to do one of his crazy jumps to completely knock out Triple H. The result, though, needs to be Shane winning the match.

With WWE really going with this New Era movement, they need a new face to be in control of this revolution. Shane McMahon fits that title perfectly. At SummerSlam, it has to be out with the old and in with the new as Shane and the New Era rise, while Triple H, Stephanie McMahon, and The Authority fall.
