Conor McGregor Needs to Stop Criticizing WWE
By Dean Siemon
Wrestling fans and superstars don’t take kindly to the words of UFC Featherweight Champion Conor McGregor, and we would kindly request he remain silent about his criticisms of WWE.
I’m not the type of person who would normally tell someone who fights for a living to do anything. Thankfully, I have a keyboard and there’s little chance that I will be crossing paths with Conor McGregor, so the chances of being punched for writing this are low at best.
On behalf of many professional wrestling fans, I would like to politely ask the current UFC Featherweight Champion, Mr. McGregor, to shut up. Many of us have heard the things you have said recently about many WWE superstars “dweebs” and even going as far as to call John Cena, and I quote from the Rolling Stone story, “a big, fat, 40-year-old failed Mr. Olympia [expletive].”
Just because your sport isn’t scripted doesn’t mean you have a right to make fun of WWE superstars. How many fights do you have in a single year? Maybe two or three? Many of us would like to see how you would handle being on a card up to 200 times in a single year. Hell, I don’t think you’re going to have that many fights in your career.
Many wrestling supporters will find other points of how much more of athletes WWE superstars are then you. There’s a chance that a good portion of the current WWE roster would legitimately give you a run for your money – and that’s not even adding the part-timer in Brock Lesnar. So far, it looks like you have plenty of challengers who would like that type of opportunity.

The thing is, Mr. McGregor, is that while you might handle a few – like Heath Slater or Bo Dallas – it’s highly unlikely you would fare well with about 90 percent of the WWE roster. We know the UFC would likely never want you to enter a WWE ring. What frustrates both wrestlers and fans alike is that you, Mr. McGregor, are likely making these comments with the belief that you are not going to feel any repercussions for your comments.

Essentially, you are as much of a weasel as Fox Sports “analyst” Colin Cowherd. He has an excuse since he’s paid to talk like he knows sports. You are paid to compete and win championships – not to talk trash about sports you aren’t in.
But back to your comments about the 15-time world champion in WWE. You might have gotten away with picking on someone lower on the card like Bo Dallas or Eva Marie. In fact, you probably would have gotten an agreement if you picked on Eva Marie. But how dare you make such derogatory comments about the leader of Cenation.
Many wrestling fans might have their negative opinions about him and his standing in professional wrestling history, but he’s someone worthy of respect – something you know nothing about.

Unless you have plans to one day step into the world of professional wrestling, we ask you to refrain from making such comments against the athletes in the ring. I’m pretty sure you should be more focused on your upcoming fight with Nate Diaz – who made you tap out back in March.
