WWE: Luke Harper Should Win Battle Royal to Move to WrestleMania 33

With Randy Orton temporarily stepping aside, the betting odds are in favor of Luke Harper winning the Battle Royal to face Bray Wyatt at WWE WrestleMania 33.

Picture this. Randy Orton was hypnotized and brainwashed by the ‘Eater of Worlds’ Bray Wyatt into not facing him at WrestleMania 33. Eventually, Randy Orton breaks out of the spell and wants his place in the main event of WrestleMania for the WWE SmackDown Championship. Daniel Bryan gives Orton his opportunity and inserts him in, along with the winner of the Battle Royal to make the title match a Triple Threat match against Bray Wyatt.

The logical choice to insert into this match would be none other than Luke Harper. For the pro wrestling enthusiast, the idea of Luke Harper being in the main event picture for a world title at WrestleMania doesn’t necessarily smell ticket buy rates—insert Randy Orton into the equation and now you have a Triple Threat match pinning the Wyatt Family against one another for the biggest prize within its respected brand.

Luke Harper and Randy Orton had arguably the match of the night at Elimination Chamber, and the group has been going back and forth against one another for weeks, so you wondered eventually when the three of them would face off against each other. There was no reason currently as to why Orton would want to face Wyatt as there was no animosity until Orton won the Royal Rumble and Wyatt won the title as recently as Sunday. After Orton appeared ‘brainwashed’ by Bray Wyatt, it appears now that the feud will eventually arise once Orton snaps out of the trance he is currently in.

Rob Wolkenbrod of Daily DDT agreed with this, stating that the idea of anyone else winning the Battle Royal doesn’t make any logical sense — and it’s not even close. Luke Harper will win the WWE SmackDown Battle Royal, Randy Orton will snap out of his trance, and the three of them will put on an amazing performance for the WWE SmackDown Championship at WrestleMania 33.

MORE FROM DAILY DDT:

There is already going to be a one on one match-up for the WWE Raw Universal title as Bill Goldberg will be taking on Brock Lesnar, if of course the rumors of Goldberg defeating Kevin Owens remain consistent at WWE Fastlane, so to have another one on one match-up for the other brand doesn’t do justice to what could potentially be the match of the night on the card considering how great of the match between Orton and Luke Harper was at Elimination Chamber.

Give Luke Harper this opportunity and for the love of humanity, change his appearance. It worked for his character when he was Brodie Lee on the independent circuit, but if he can somehow manage to wear a different shirt for starters, it would do justice for him to look as though he belongs on the main event level.

Next: Bray Wyatt is Face of New Era

Make no mistake about it; the Wyatt Family feud needs to finally come to an end and the only place to do that is at WrestleMania 33. Even though I predict a Bray Wyatt victory with the help of Erick Rowan, this match can still elevate Luke Harper away from mid-card status and set up more amazing matchups with both Bray Wyatt and Randy Orton.
