There’s a positive and a negative to every match at WWE Fastlane.

On Sunday night, WWE will return with the Fastlane pay-per-view. It’s a Raw-exclusive show and the final major event before WrestleMania 33. Matches that are taking place from the Bradley Center in Milwaukee, WI have implications for the Show of Shows and should make this an intriguing event.

As is the case with every WWE PPV match that’s advertised, they can be analyzed, dissected and broken down. This is the case with each of these bouts from this Raw show.

With this in mind, what are some of the pros and cons for each Fastlane match? Let’s begin with Sasha Banks vs. Nia Jax.

Sasha Banks vs. Nia Jax

Sasha Banks and Nia Jax’s latest collision was the last match added to the Fastlane card. What should be anticipated for this?

Pro – More Future Implications Than You Think

Despite Jax and Banks’ matchup being thrown together at the last second, it could have meaning toward WrestleMania 33. We already saw Jax topple Bayley on Raw, meaning she could be in line for a title opportunity. That puts her in the mix for the Show of Shows, whether or not Bayley still holds the belt.

As for Sasha Banks, it’s felt like a heel turn has been coming for weeks. Charlotte and Jax have been telling her to watch her own back, instead of worrying about Bayley’s. With another loss at Fastlane, maybe the Boss begins to take the advice of the other heels. That means we could get a main roster version of the feud that captivated the back-end of 2015 in NXT.

Con – It’s Probably Going to Bridge More Important Matches

A match like Banks vs. Jax isn’t going to be perceived to be as important as the Raw Women’s or Universal Championship matches. If anything, it may be on the bottom of the totem pole. That will probably mean it gets slotted in between something like Kevin Owens vs. Goldberg and Roman Reigns vs. Braun Strowman, somewhat of a “palate cleanser,” if you feel WWE still have those type of matches on PPV.
