1. A New Champion

Regardless of placement on the card, regardless of who else may or may not get involved, Kevin Owens will leave Orlando with the United States Championship.

Even though WrestleMania is usually a time where good triumphs over evil, all signs are pointing to a Kevin Owens victory this year. It almost feels like a consolation prize, given the Universal Championship situation. But Owens has more than earned a potential US Title win.

The story of the match is the hatred between former friends who no claim they were never friends at all. It’s a tale as old as time, really. Both superstars want revenge for perceived slights – some real, some possibly imagined.

But if the match comes down to hatred as the driving factor, then the advantage belongs to Owens. He’s proven many times in his WWE/NXT career that he’s a real jerk. And being a jerk, he’ll have no problem going the extra mile in trying to hurt someone to win a title.

Jericho may be the veteran here, but he doesn’t have the same ruthlessness that runs through KO’s blood. Owens will stop at nothing to prove just how good he is, prove how he’s the greatest thing since sliced bread. That desire to be the very best will be enough to send Y2J packing for a Fozzy tour in no time.
