ROH’s Adam Cole Posts Cryptic Tweet: ‘Well…No Looking Back Now…’

Adam Cole took to Twitter to rile up everyone during a specific time of the evening.

Adam Cole has been one of Ring of Honor’s top stars for the past handful of years. He’s their first-ever three-time ROH World Champion, having won the belt at the Wrestle Kingdom 11 event in January. However, he dropped the title to Christopher Daniels at March’s 15th Anniversary Show.

Since WWE started acquiring more talents from companies like TNA and ROH, Cole’s name has been speculated by the fans as a future player for NXT. He’s received questions about this in interviews too, as his contract is known to be ending in April.

Well, it’s April now and Cole is being somewhat cryptic on Twitter. This tweet isn’t indicative of anything about his contract status, but it comes at a very interesting time.

He posted this around the time Wednesday night’s NXT taping from Full Sail University started. This is set to begin airing on Apr. 12, potentially ushering in a new era for the brand.

More from ROH

If this tweet means something, then could Cole be showing up at the recording? He would add to a show that just lost Shinsuke Nakamura, Tye Dillinger and the Revival, but acquired Drew Galloway and just debuted Aleister Black at NXT TakeOver: Orlando. Kassius Ohno (the former Chris Hero) recently returned to NXT as well, adding to the growing stable of talent.

Cole would be joining a somewhat packed crowd at the top, but has the opportunity to jump into the main event scene, if NXT uses him as ROH did. Even if the former PWG Champion is not thrown into the top of the card, he can still provide quality depth on the NXT shows, much like Roderick Strong has since arriving in 2016.
