Black walked into TakeOver with an entrance that captivated the Amway Center. He rose out of what looked like a coffin, along with music that sounded like it came straight from a heavy rock album. It made him look like a force upon arrival, heading down to the ring to kick Andrade “Cien” Almas’ head off with the vicious Black Mass.
Since then, we’ve seen Black tear through his competition with ease at Full Sail. No one is coming close to affecting him, which is all too apparent with the Dutchman’s spiritual sitting position in the middle of the ring when he wins a match.
As for what’s next, it’s only a matter of time before Black enters the NXT Championship picture. It’s suddenly crowded, though, with Itami, McIntyre and Strong all able to make cases to be involved. That may either make for a strong Fatal Four-Way Match to determine the next No. 1 Contender, or a line for Black to wait on.
