Neville vs. Rich Swann

Result: No contest

Rating: N/A

This was… odd. So, there were two cruiserweight segments, featuring a total of 10 seconds of actual match action. There was more time spent on Facetime than there was on the Neville beatdown on Swann. Glad the ring crew is earning their keep with the rope changes!

What stood out here for me was Booker T revealing himself as a hypocrite. The King of the Spinaroonie taking umbrage with Swann dancing? Get over yourself, Book!

Anyway, Neville channels his Reverend Shaw Moore (from Footloose, you know) and puts an end to the dancing with a sneak attack. After making short work of Swann, The King adds him to the list of fallen foes – Austin Aries and TJP heading said list.

But more importantly, Neville basically lays down a challenge for Akira Tozawa. Apparently Titus O’Neil, in the course of his wooing of Tozawa, stated that Akira could be the next Cruiserweight Champion. This does not sit well with our powerful and mighty cruiserweight monarch.

Personally, I think Tozawa vs. Neville could be the 205 Live version of Samoa Joe vs. Brock Lesnar. It’s something you didn’t realize how awesome it would be until you realize it’s a possibility.

Cesaro & Sheamus

Much more flow in this interview. I especially dig the callback to the Hardys’ book from all those years ago. Don’t really like the “you guys have to retire” deal, since they really don’t, but if that’s what they’re going with while Broken is in legal limbo, let’s run with it.
