WWE Raw Results: Highlights, Analysis, and Grades for July 10

Brock Lesnar vs. Samoa
Man, I don’t even have the words to describe how awesome this segment was. But I’ll run down what happened and try my best to add in some analysis.
First off, Kurt Angle is just running away with that “best pro wrestling authority figure in history” title. Every single thing he does has a reason behind it. It’s logical. It makes sense. All he wants to do tonight is fill us in on Braun Strowman, and come up with a challenger for the Universal Title at SummerSlam. We learn that Strowman refused medical attention, so no one knows anything about what he’s feeling. Okay, then.
Angle brings out Lesnar and Heyman. Of course, Heyman tries to pull the “my client doesn’t have time for this” card. As the pair begin to leave, out comes the most polarizing figure in WWE – Roman Reigns.

Again, Kurt makes more sense than anyone in WWE when he starts chastising Reigns for “what you pulled last night.” Remember, what he pulled was attempted murder. But Reigns – kind of rightfully, kind of not – calls him out as a hypocrite. See, Roman has seen the highlights of the Attitude Era – you know, where attempted murder in a sense was basically encouraged.
Reigns challenges Brock, who literally laughs in his face and curses him out. Brock doesn’t think Roman deserves the shot – which is true, if we count last night’s results. another Samoan who thinks he deserves a shot – Samoa Joe – comes out and gets in Roman’s face, and Brock’s face, and poor Angle looks like he’s going to have an aneurysm.
Eventually, Angle makes a number one contender match for next week between Reigns and Joe, with the added stipulation that any physicality tonight cancels that match. Lesnar’s not happy, Kurt’s frazzled, Joe and Reigns want to tear each other apart, and now we have something to look forward to for next week.
Text Message
But it’s not all roses for Angle, as he and Corey Graves got another mysterious text message. Apparently, this one could mean the end of Kurt’s reign as GM. Considering we basically just heard that during the Attitude Era, Angle was practically guilty of attempted murder, whatever’s in these text messages must be pretty bad.
