Is Paige’s WWE Career Tarnished?

Paige is on the road to recovery after neck surgery last fall.  However, no one is talking about her wrestling career thanks to her relationship drama.

Many know all too well about the likes of Lindsay Lohan, Britney Spears, and Whitney Houston.  All three women have had great careers until they fell apart right before the world’s eyes.  I draw this comparison because it looks like WWE fans are seeing this same scenario with Paige.

Paige was a bright star, who has had a hand in doing big things with the company.  Many fans argue that she was one of the ones who started the Divas Revolution; that she is a pioneer in where the WWE Women’s Division is where it is today.  In addition, Paige has two Divas Championship reigns to her name and stood out amongst the roster thanks to her anti-diva goth glam look.  She starred on Total Divas for a few seasons.  Things looked to be great for the British beauty.

However when she and fiancee Alberto Del Rio went public with their relationship, everything seemed to change.  Many fans were shocked at this odd couple relationship to begin with.  However, it’s been a downward spiral for Paige since with two Wellness Policy suspensions plus the leaked photos and a sex tape surfacing.  Now, with even more rumors and trouble with the law making waves, is Paige digging a grave for herself?

One must admit that the world is seeing a different side to Paige since she’s been with Del Rio.  However, the hacks were unfortunate for her considering they were personal photos.  Still it paints a grim picture for the former Divas Champion, who is still under contract with WWE.  At the end of the day, she is responsible for her actions otherwise.  Her actions may cause consequences for her.

With reports of apparent domestic violence, it seems her life has gone down a dark road.  Could she turn things around once she is cleared to return to the ring?  She just recently posted on Instagram that she has begun training again.  It is apparent that she is committed to getting back in the ring.  Whether she will return in WWE is an entirely different story thanks to the controversy she’s found herself in within the last year.

Her only saving grace right now is the association with The Rock being an executive producer in a movie about her wrestling career.  Many feel that is the case as to why she is barely hanging on by a thread with the company.  But with the domestic violence incident that has been making rounds, not even The Rock can save Paige from her downward spiral.

WWE loves a good comeback story, and they will have a great one if Paige can straighten up and returns to a WWE ring.  She is more than capable to triumph over her struggles and setbacks.  The company has also been very forgiving in the past when it comes to  Superstars such as Sable, Brock Lesnar, and Madusa to name a few.  Paige would be no exception for that, but it just depends on if she is willing to commit to the company.  That part not many knows for sure.  It may be too late for the starlet if so.
