3. Darren Young

Darren Young has been out with an injury since January of this year. However, Pro Wrestling Sheet reported almost a month ago that he has been cleared for action. While Young has not made any appearance on Live TV as of now, the surprise factor in his return could generate some interest from the fans. Moreover, prior to getting injured, Darren Young and his mentor at the time Bob Backlund did have some history with the Miz.

Personally, I would love to see Young return as the latest ambassador of the Titus Brand. Not only does it plays up the nostalgia of Prime Time Players, in addition, it could help Apollo Crews as well. Creative can easily play up this angle at any time. However, if I were to book this angle, I would first have Apollo Crews take the fight to the Miz in a losing effort.

Then, a few weeks later at the next PPV, the Miz could come to the ring and vent out his frustrations about not being respected. He could state since he was put on the pre-show during SummerSlam, he would not be competing at this PPV. Out comes Titus O’Neil and makes the claim that if a title isn’t defended in 30 days, the champion might have to vacate it. The Miz eventually agrees to fight a member of the Titus Brand, and that is when O’Neil announces his newest star – a returning Darren Young.

From there, a fired up Young could defeat the Miz with Titus O’Neil by his side. They could end his night by winning the IC Title and taking selfies with Apollo Crews. Not only does Young gets a hot angle to return to, the Miz essentially becomes free to move on to bigger things. In addition, the Titus Brand can boast another title win, and Apollo Crews gets one more charismatic partner. Win-win for everybody involved.
