One has to wonder how differently Bayley’s run on the main roster would have gone had she landed on SmackDown, not Raw. The Huggable One was essentially fast-tracked to a Women’s Championship run just months after her call-up, slowly undoing years of great work in NXT.

Bayley’s first championship win on the main roster should have come after months of narrowly missing out on the ultimate prize. As an underdog on NXT, she quickly became beloved by fans and was red-hot by the time she arrived on Raw.
Bayley’s crowd responses have dipped closer to the lukewarm section of the scale the past few months, and she was even greeted by some boos before getting hurt. This shouldn’t be the case. Bayley is extremely talented and can once again become one of the top babyfaces in the company.
Some have called for a heel turn, but doing so would require a complete character makeover. Not only is it unnecessary, but a switch wouldn’t come without its own risks.
A switch to SmackDown Live might be just what the doctor ordered. By essentially hitting the reboot button, Bayley could again become the underdog upon arrival on Tuesday nights, leading to a slow, steady rise to capturing the SmackDown Women’s Championship.
