WWE Rumors: The Undertaker Wrestling At WrestleMania 34?
By Harry Austen
According to a new report, The Deadman could be returning to wrestle at WWE’s Grandest Stage of Them All.
In what was a surprising announcement, WWE revealed a number of names that will be appearing at Raw’s 25th Anniversary show, most notably, The Undertaker. The Deadman hadn’t been seen anywhere (unless you’re counting his wife’s Instagram) since this year’s WrestleMania.
However, with the news being out about ‘Taker making his return on Raw, of course speculation has ensued about him making a return to the ring. A recent rumors on Cageside Seats’s site states that there’s been talk of him returning at the grandest stage of them all, WrestleMania, to lace up his boots.
At this point it’s worth noting that clearly there hasn’t been any build towards an Undertaker return, as much as the commentary team are cryptic when mentioning The Deadman, but in all honestly, a return wouldn’t be surprising.
For years, match after match, folks have said ‘that’s his last match’ – then, two, three years later he’s still going. Trust me, if you can find anyone that will have successfully predicted his retirement, they deserve a medal.
Now, the return may not be all that surprising, however, it doesn’t need to (and shouldn’t) happen. As much as I didn’t enjoy his “final match” at this years ‘Mania, it was a perfect send-off nevertheless. Taking off the gloves, the hat, and finally the coat, was a perfect, symbolic end to the character.
And for it all to mean nothing, is a little insulting to the fans — not just in attendance, but across the world tweeting and posting using the #ThankYouTaker (which was trending for hours following the event).
Also, and most importantly in the eyes of WWE, is anyone really clamouring for another Undertaker return? As far as I can see, no. If anything, the general consensus is that he shouldn’t have wrestled Reigns, let alone wrestle again a year later.

Hopefully, ‘Taker’s return to Raw is just another send-off, and not a return to in-ring action. I hate to be guy that spoils the fun, but honestly, another Undertaker run isn’t good for anyone.
