4. Paige: To return or not to return?

Paige’s long awaited return to the WWE is coming, but many were surprised the former Divas Champion didn’t make an appearance on Raw, despite being backstage at the show. PWInsider had reported she was expected to be featured on Monday night. And the idea behind it was obvious. Team Raw still needed a fifth member for the five-on-five match at Survivor Series. Bayley went on to land the remaining spot.

So when will “The Anti-Diva” actually return? Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer reported, via Daily DDT, that Paige’s arrival was always planned to take place after Survivor Series. And that makes the most sense. Why would she care about brand loyalty? What would be her motivation to join one of the Survivor Series teams? Bayley was the right choice for Raw, opening the door for Paige to return on either show after the pay-per-view.

That said, it’s worth noting Team SmackDown is still without a fifth member. As the new SmackDown Women’s Champion, Charlotte will drop out of the team to take on Raw’s champ Alexa Bliss. Natalya would be the obvious replacement for Flair, but you’d figure they’d have already announced that. Maybe, just maybe, we’ll see Paige add her name to a long line of Survivor Series returnees.
