WWE Smackdown 5 Predictions: Samoa Joe Becomes The New U.S. Champion

1. Samoa Joe Becomes The New U.S. Champion
HARDY PARTY! Jeff Hardy has decided to host weekly U.S. Title Open Challenges since his low-blowing rival, Shinsuke Nakamura, is incapable of feuding with him due to injury.
Last week, Eric Young from Sanity stepped up to challenge Jeff Hardy. However, the Usos interfered in this match, leading to a 6-man tag match in which Jeff Hardy and The Usos defeated Sanity.

Tonight, I think an actual U.S. title match will take place and the ideal opponent for Jeff Hardy at this point in time would have to be none other than the Samoan Submission Machine, Samoa Joe!
Samoa Joe was a favorite to win the 5-man #1 contender’s gauntlet match 2 weeks ago on Smackdown Live. Sadly, he failed to do so when he got counted out whilst competing with Daniel Bryan.
This shocking loss probably occurred to highlight Samoa Joe in the mid card picture. Since Jeff Hardy is battling while injured, it’s probably long overdue for him to drop the U.S. Title to someone who is healthy and who can make the title as prestigious as possible.
Samoa Joe is the answer. He has not won a title on the main roster as yet, his promos have been dynamite, and he can maintain his relevancy on Smackdown Live with the United States Championship.

On top of that, Samoa Joe vs. Jeff Hardy for the United States Title is a stellar main event for WWE Smackdown Live, especially since it’s a fresh, first time ever match-up on WWE’s main roster. Pyrrhic victory or not, Samoa Joe is going home with that United States Championship.
