Ember Moon vs. Liv Morgan
Result: Ember Moon defeated Liv Morgan via pinfall
Rating: 2.5 out of 5 stars
Let me get this straight: Ember Moon defeated Liv Morgan two weeks in a row on WWE Raw. Then last week, the script was flipped when Ember faced — and lost to — Sarah Logan, Morgan’s Riott Squad running buddy. To follow up, Ember wants to prove she’s ready for Evolution by challenging… Liv Morgan again? You’d think she’d want to get her win back from Logan, because WWE loves their 50/50 booking.

Instead, it’s yet another in the Kingston/Ziggler Memorial Best of 31 series between Moon and Morgan. I won’t complain about it, because all three matches, including this one, have been pretty good. It’s just that there’s so many other combinations that could make good matches, running the same one over and over ends up being more of a drag than it should.
Since Liv comes down for the match without Logan, I’m guessing there’s a reason this match was done again instead of a second one with the Viking Warrior. So we get a good match, even if Liv’s sell of the Eclipse wasn’t as incredible as some earlier ones.
Love seeing Moon winning big, just wish it was a different opponent for variety’s sake,
Smilin’ Seth
Anyone else feel like the Ziggler/Rollins feud is going in reverse? We had the surprise title change after Money in the Bank, then a rematch ended in a DQ. Battle lines were drawn for a tag team run, then the big rematch at Extreme Rules was a 30-minute Iron Man Match. Now we’ve gone back to the tag team route tonight, and Seth has a regular old run-of-the-mill rematch at SummerSlam?
I’m happy to get the match, but at some point a series of excellent matches isn’t enough. There needs to be a reason for the matches, and a logical progression from one to the next. Doing a match for the sake of a match is great for a one-off, but for a rivalry you need that extra something.
Elias Gets to Perform
All I’m going to say about Elias finally getting the go ahead from Kurt Angle to play a song off his new album is that he picked the worst track to play live.
You can tell “Walk With Me” is bad because half of it has the word “yeah” as the only lyric. Real inventive.
