Randy Orton Should Choose Daniel Bryan as His Next Target
By Tom Thomas
Randy Orton is on fire after his recent heel turn. Here is why he need to set his eyes on Daniel Bryan next.
The WWE Universe has witnessed a rejuvenated Randy Orton, ever since his shocking heel turn and subsequent attack on Jeff Hardy. The Viper is reminding fans around the world just how sadistic he can be.
Elsewhere on the roster, Daniel Bryan is finally about to get his hands on The Miz, who has a long history with the Bearded One. But as we have seen time and again, the ‘Yes’ movement has been lacking the fire and the spark that it once possessed.
Perhaps, Orton is the key to revitalizing Bryan — and the ‘Yes’ movement too.
We often say that a heel Orton is much better than a face Orton. There is something nasty and genuinely threatening about the Viper when he is acting as a heel. Bryan, on the other hand, has been the polar opposite. In an era when reality is often mixed into the scripts, Daniel Bryan is one of the last pure babyfaces in the WWE.

These two men have a long and storied history with each other that also involved the Authority. The ‘Yes’ movement was at the peak of its popularity back then, and it took Bryan to the top of the mountain against all odds in a truly spectacular fashion at WrestleMania 30. But when Bryan was eventually forced to retire, the movement sort of slowed down.
Of course, fans still chant at the top of their lungs. And when Bryan made his return, thunderous ‘Yes’ chants echoed across areas all over the world. However, it doesn’t compare to what it was back in the heyday of the movement.
This is where Orton comes in. He is portraying perhaps the best heel version of his character since his old “Legend Killer” gimmick. The way Orton brutalized Jeff Hardy left a sour taste in many viewers’ mouths. Imagine the emotion and the intensity a moment like that could produce should he do something similar to Bryan.
Not only would this reignite the historic feud, but it could lead to a career resurgence for Bryan as well. The Miz vs. Bryan story has seen too many starts and stops lately. Of course every fan wants to see the Miz get beaten and humbled. But Randy Orton vs. Bryan would pack in a different set of raw emotions that the Miz just can’t portray.
Very few can match up to the Viper in terms of intensity and cold-blooded attacks. Factor in someone as beloved as Bryan and everything would be that much more intense.
Bryan will once again be able to get the whole of the WWE Universe on his side, channel his inner spirits and overcome the demonic Viper once and for all. It can then catapult the Bearded One and his legendary ‘Yes’ movement to another potential WWE title run. What are your thoughts?
