2. Seth Rollins Should Move Past the Intercontinental Championship

Seth deserves a lot of credit for keeping the Intercontinental Championship relevant throughout the year but “The Kingslayer” should move on from the title after SummerSlam.

The open challenge concept has led to multiple main-event quality Seth Rollins matches and painted him as a spirited torch-carrier for the Raw brand, something he hadn’t been seen as since losing the WWE Championship.

It was only three years ago that Rollins was “The Man”, capturing his first WWE Championship at WrestleMania 31 in 2015 and holding it until a knee injury forced him to vacate the title in November that same year.

Rollins managed to quickly reclaimed the title upon returning to action, defeating Roman Reigns at Money in the Bank in 2016 but his title reign was cut very short thanks to a Money in the Bank cash-in by Dean Ambrose.

Since then, Rollins’ World title aspirations have taken a backseat as he went on to win two Raw Tag Team Titles with Dean Ambrose and Jason Jordan respectively and hold the Intercontinental Championship. He has had #1 contender opportunities but hasn’t gotten an actual championship match in quite some time.

Taking into account that Rollins hasn’t been a World champion in over two years, he’d be a welcome re-addition to the main event scene on Raw. However, the recent return of Ambrose adds another element to the mix.
