1. He’s Simply a Better Option than Dolph
We all know how easy it is to make fun of Dolph Ziggler and where he is at this point in his career, but that does not make any of these frequent criticisms any less valid.
The fact of the matter is that Dolph Ziggler just is not connecting with fans like he used to. Few crowds cheer or boo him. Most crowds just don’t care when he steps through the curtain. That lack of interest in a champion has already hurt the prestige of the Intercontinental Championship.

We can all recall the unanimous disappointment from fans to see Ziggler be the guy to finally dethrone Rollins of his title following The Man’s hot streak as champion. Rather than produce a sea of shock and awe, the match result handing Ziggler his title merely convinced fans around the world to shrug and sigh.
The thing is that Dolph Ziggler has not been interesting in a very long time. The most interesting thing about him is his muscle — Drew McIntyre — and some would argue that all Ziggler is doing is holding McIntyre back from his potential on the main roster.
If people don’t care about him, they don’t care about the championship he’s holding and it puts a bad damper on his title reign. Since fans continue to stay invested in Rollins, it’s best to keep the belt on him for the time being.
