Universal Championship Match
Brock Lesnar (c) vs. Roman Reigns
Bryan Heaton: Sure, why not: I’ll pick Roman Reigns to beat Brock Lesnar for the umpteenth time. I may be right, I’ll probably be wrong, but why change things up now? Reigns couldn’t win at WrestleMania 31, he failed in a fatal four way at SummerSlam last year, and he went 0-2 in April of this year.
But as they always say, fifth time’s a charm! Though even if Reigns somehow, magically, unbelievably beats Lesnar, he’s not leaving Brooklyn as Universal Champion.
Christopher Jeter: I’ll pick Reigns to win so he can receive his 1,435,596th championship coronation. If he doesn’t win the title, or if he wins and gets cashed in on, Reigns is done as the top babyface.
Trace Johnson: Does anybody ever know what the WWE has planned for Lesnar? It’s as unpredictable here as ever before, but I’ll go with Reigns finally getting the better of The Beast Incarnate and winning the Universal Championship (maybe just to get cashed in on).
Ashley Leckwold: This is such a “Jump or Get Off The Diving Board” moment for WWE. Roman should have won the title back at either WrestleMania or Greatest Royal Rumble, but the fickle need to keep Brock around struck again. Honestly, I do feel like this is Roman’s night finally, but it’s probably also his night to be cashed in on for the third time.
Joshua Raibick: This rivalry has been like the Hangover trilogy, the same thing over and over again. This time I think Vince finally sees this Roman Reigns booking thing through. The cash in seems so obvious (and already done to Reigns before) that it might be best served for the next night on Raw.

Joe Soriano: On a loaded card, the Universal Title is likely the main event, and this has been a story brewing for years. Roman Reigns has never beaten Brock Lesnar, coming agonizingly close on two occasions. He could have won at WrestleMania 31 if it weren’t for Seth Rollins, and he avenged a beatdown at WrestleMania 34 by arguably defeating Brock Lesnar in a steel cage at the Worst Royal Rumble.
Lesnar winning remains a possibility. WWE not wanting Lesnar to be pinned in the match is another possibility, seeing as how he could come back as UFC champion (doubtful, but you never know). Hell, a cash-in is possible, too, regardless of if it is from Kevin Owens or Braun Strowman.
I’ve picked Roman every time he’s gone up against Brock, and I’ve been wrong all those times. Whether it is stubbornness or hopefulness, I always keep backing my “horse” (“big dog”, in this case).
