Nick and Tama begin. They run the ropes and go for dropkicks, but none connect. Loa and Matt hit the ring, and it’s a two on two brawl. The Bucks easily get the best of the exchange, but Matt’s injured back strikes again, allowing GOD to regain their bearings. Loa powerslams Matt onto the floor as Tama and Nick go back and forth. Loa is ready to suplex his opponent through a table, but Nick makes the save at the last second. Matt takes his chance and goes top rope, but GOD sends him plummeting through the table.
Nick tries to fend for himself with his brother out of the picture, but it’s not happening as Tama and Loa relentlessly pick him apart. Somehow, however, he survives long enough for Matt to stir and even the odds. Still, the Bucks are in bad shape. They desperately go for all their biggest moves -superkicks, sharpshooter, more bang for your buck- but nothing’s working. Finally, they set up for the Meltzer Driver, but Tama catches Nick coming off the ropes with a Gun Stun. Ape**** to Matt for a fantastic near fall. GOD goes for Guerilla Warfare, but Matt escapes and connects with a pair of desperation superkicks. He runs the ropes but GOD is already back up. Pop up Gun Stun. 1 2 3. What a finishing sequence.
Although this wasn’t quite as good as Nick and Matt’s matches with EVIL & SANADA earlier this year, it was still really dang good. All four guys worked together to tell a great story that protected the Bucks, but still made the Tongans come off as a force to be reckoned with. Matt sold the back as well as ever, Nick ran off a few spurts of buttery smooth offense, and the Guerillas put on one of the best performances of their career as a team. The match totally did the feud justice and, like it or not, GOD winning here was absolutely the right decision.
