… Matt Riddle kicks off the show? Wow, Matt Riddle is kicking off the show. The King of Bros is entering the ring (with the most GTA theme song I’ve ever heard), no shoes, short-shorts, and all. He’s not on the card, but he’s got a mic.

One, long word: “Broooooo.”

He’s calling out Kassius Ohno, who interrupted him on the pre-show this evening. Ohno is quick to respond and say Riddle’s not ready for Takeover, but still calls for a match. Riddle hits one quick kick after the bell, and he gets the immediate three.

Yeah, that’s definitely a good way to make a first Takeover impression.

The Women’s Champion Shayna is out first to defend her title against former Women’s Champion Kairi Sane in a Two Out Of Three Falls match.

Kairi Sane comes right out of the gate and backs Shayna into the corner. She gives Shayna two neckbreakers in the center of the ring, and Shayna’s already looking disoriented.

Just like that, Jessamyn Duke and Marina Shafir are out and interfere with Kairi and the ref is tending to Shayna. Shayna takes advantage and gets Kairi in the Kirifuda, and Kairi taps for Shayna’s first fall.

Shayna gets Kairi in a pin quickly after, but it’s no luck. Shayna locks in the Kirifuda one more time, but Kairi breaks the hold when she gets her foot on the rope.

Shayna is now in complete control of this second pin-session. She’s absolutely dominant, and quiet frankly, I’d like to see her lose this match. She is at a WWE Women’s Championship level for sure. She needs to call-up.

ANOTHER Kirifuda from Shayna, but Kairi sneaks a pin attempt in, but no luck. The two have a striking exchange, but Shayna breaks it with a clothesline. Kairi hits a counter spike DDT on the apron, and everyone is amazed.

Duke and Shafir begin to grab at Kairi again, but she climbs to the top rope the hit a dive on all three women. Kairi goes high again for the In-Sane Elbow, and she gets her first pin. We’re tied 1-1.

Kairi lands a massive spear as we regroup. Kairi climbs again for the Elbow, but Shayna follows her, and the two begin a strike exchange. Kairi hits a sunset flip powerbomb, but it’s not enough to get her last fall.

Kairi heads up to the ropes again, but Shafir knocks her off as Duke distracts the ref. Dakota Kai runs out to help even the odds, and then… Io Shirai is here to help as well!

Kairi hits the In-Sane Elbow one more time, but Shayna shifts the momentum at the last second for a quick pin. Shayna wins, and she’s still the NXT Women’s Champion.
