WWE TLC 2018 Match Card Predictions: Team Corbin vs. Team Angle

Becky Lynch (c) vs. Charlotte vs. Asuka [SmackDown Women’s Title: TLC]🔵

Becky Lynch, the MAN, is one of the greatest women’s champions in WWE history. I’m afraid it’s coming to an end at TLC, but there’s a bright side to this. She won’t lose it to Charlotte. WOOOOO!

One could make the argument that Becky Lynch has to win this match because she is making her return from her concussion and lost the opportunity to face Raw Women’s Champion Ronda Rousey, so this could be a consolation prize. However, let’s not forget that Becky Lynch lost her first Women’s Title to Alexa Bliss at TLC 2016 after making her return from the hospital. Deja vu moment? Maybe so.

One could also make the argument that Charlotte, whom one can never count out of winning any match, has to win this match to solidify her “heel turn” on Rousey at Survivor Series 2018. However, I foresee Charlotte winning the Royal Rumble in January to face Rousey at WrestleMania 35 for the Raw Women’s Title in the main event rather than winning the SmackDown Women’s Title at this PPV. Thus, she must be title-free to even be in that Royal Rumble Match.

As for Asuka, she has been booked so terribly throughout the past few months, but the crowd is surprisingly still on her side. She is so OVER as a babyface that the fans POPPED for her to be Becky’s replacement at Survivor Series, instead of Charlotte Flair; her battle royal win on SmackDown solidified that crowd support as well. Now is the time to pull the trigger on Asuka before it’s too late, and this will set up a dream feud between Asuka and Becky Lynch for the SmackDown Women’s Title on the road to WrestleMania, since Becky can invoke her rematch clause, while Charlotte focuses on targeting Ronda Rousey on Raw. Heck, I’m ready for Asuka, the WWE Universe is ready for Asuka, and the SmackDown Women’s Title is ready for Asuka.
