Evolve 131, perhaps better known as the Evolve 10th Anniversary Show, will be airing live on the WWE Network this Saturday. Here’s a card rundown with some predictions.

If you’re a WWE faithful when it comes to watching professional wrestling and suddenly see the company promote something called Evolve Wrestling on the latest editions of Raw and SmackDown, you may be asking yourself “What is Evolve?”

Founded under the WWN (World Wrestling Network) umbrella in 2010 by Gabe Sapolsky, best recognized as a former booker for Ring of Honor and Dragon Gate USA vice president, Evolve is an independent wrestling promotion that in many ways serves as the foundation for where several future WWE Superstars get their start.

Notable talents like Jon Moxley, Drew McIntyre, Ricochet, CesaroAdam Cole, Drew Gulak, Matt Riddle, PAC, Aleister Black, Johnny Gargano and Daniel Bryan are just some names who first wrestled on an Evolve stage before stepping foot in WWE.

These days, WWE has had a working relationship with Evolve that has afforded some of those talents the opportunity to return to Evolve for one night only appearances. Newer NXT stars like Velveteen Dream and The Street Profits – the latter of whom actually won the Evolve Tag Team Championships – have also made appearances.

Now, to celebrate the independent promotion’s 10th anniversary and 131st straight show, many of those same stars will return to the stage that made them into a household name. This Satuday’s show – the first Evolve show to ever air live on the WWE Network – will offer both old and new fans a glimpse of WWE’s future. Here’s a rundown of the card, as well as some of my predictions.
