Penelope Ford

Hopefully, Penelope Ford is one of the 21 entrants competing in the Women’s Casino Battle Royale.

Last year at All In, Ford was one of the highlights of the landmark event. She stole the spotlight in “Hangman” Adam Page’s Chicago Street Fight with Joey Janela, with some eye-catching agility and a devastating stunner. However, she hasn’t had a chance to showcase her in-ring ability since she and Janela signed with AEW in January.

Ford was the second woman to sign with the promotion, following Britt Baker, but she surprisingly hasn’t been in a match yet. It feels like a waste because she wrestles differently than anyone else in their women’s division. Her distinct style and athleticism would immediately stand out if she was given more opportunities.

Aja Kong

Aja Kong appeared at Double or Nothing as part of a six-woman tag match. Notably, she showed up to confront Awesome Kong at Fight for the Fallen.

According to the New York Post, Awesome Kong will compete in the battle royal. That means Aja Kong might not be far behind.

The two have historically faced off several times in Japan. We could see them re-ignite their rivalry on an AEW stage on Saturday night.
