Emi Sakura

Emi Sakura appeared at All In with Aja Kong and Yuka Sakazaki to take on her protégé, Riho, who teamed up with Hikaru Shida and Ryo Mizunami.

Like some of the other Joshi wrestlers, it’s unclear what her working relationship is with AEW. They aren’t signed with the promotion, so we don’t know how many appearances they are scheduled to make.

However, Joshi puroresu has been such a big part of the company’s women’s division to date. So,  there is bound to be a Joshi presence in the battle royal and Sakura would make a great addition. The 24-year-veteran’s Freddie Mercury gimmick would be a welcomed return.

Ryo Mizunami

Ryo Mizunami is another name from the six-woman tag match from Double or Nothing that we will hopefully see again this weekend.

Mizunami was a part of the winning team with Riho and Shida, who are facing each other later in the show. She’s technically undefeated too because she hasn’t appeared on an AEW card since.

At any rate, Ryo looked impressive and she would fit perfectly in the ring with Priestley, Sakazaki and possibly Sakura. It would be cool to her explode out of the corner and clothesline someone or pull off that Fire Thunder Piledriver again.
