Candice LeRae

While this spot could have easily been filled by Mia Yim (which would make sense, given she has made an appearance on SmackDown recently, so fans are somewhat familiar with her), I’m worried that WWE may find a way to write her out of Survivor Series, given that prior to the SmackDown appearance, WWE revealed that Yim suffered a nasal fracture and a rib fracture in her ladder match with Io Shirai.

Granted, WWE’s injury reports are typically kayfabe so it likely is not a real injury worth really worrying about, but if it is a kayfabe injury, then WWE clearly have storyline plans for Yim, perhaps to write her out of the picture at some point in time. With her being a part of Team Ripley for War Games the night before Survivor Series, I can only imagine that maybe, Yim could be added to Team NXT, only to go down with an “injury” she suffers during War Games.

If that is the case, then I feel like Candice LeRae might come in as a last minute replacement. Personally, I’d go with Io Shirai (no offense, Candice, even though you are obviously not reading this), but given LeRae won the first ever NXT match televised on USA Network this year, I think big plans are in store for Candice Wrestling. And those plans are totally justified, given how much the crowd loves her over at Full Sail.
